A post on Quora converses about talent in writing code. Great answers abound. Barry Roundtree shared an answer to the Quora post in which he cites an article referenced in a Slashdot posting. That article is Learn To Code, It’s Harder Than You Think that is discussed on Slashdot with great introspective deliberation. Wisdom exists in this particular discourse that shed light on the possibilities for code education. In essence, I think that the motivation for the rise in programming education is centered on economics without understanding the broader factors that lead to success. Code does not guarantee a billion dollar venture. The success stories in information technology are not accidents. They were intentional but nonetheless predicated on luck, motivation, and commitment. Attributes that cannot be taught, but are innate.
